About Lust For Life
Lust For Life is a fresh-yet-warm woody oriental eau de parfum for men, inspired by Desire by Dunhill. It is the most versatile men's fragrance we make, and the one we recommend when somebody wants a single bottle to cover everything.
Lime and bergamot start it off, sharp and juicy, with neroli adding a clean floral lift and apple bringing a crisp sweetness that stops the citrus from feeling austere. It is an inviting opening, the kind that makes people lean in slightly.
Through the middle, patchouli and teak begin to build structure. Teak is a lovely, unusual note here, dry and slightly resinous, like polished wood in a warm room, and rose softens it with a faint sweetness rather than an obvious floral presence. The transition is smooth, with none of the awkward gap some fragrances have between top and base.
The finish is where it wins people over. Vanilla, musk and labdanum create a soft, warm, slightly powdery close that stays near the skin and lasts through an afternoon into an evening. It works in a boardroom at nine and a restaurant at eight. It is comfortable in most seasons, flattering on most skin, and never overpowering. If you want a fragrance that does not require decisions, this is the one. It is also a sensible first bottle for anyone building a collection, because it teaches your nose what a well-behaved base actually smells like.

If you love Desire by Dunhill, Lust For Life shares its DNA in the citrus-and-apple opening and that signature move from freshness into a soft vanilla-musk warmth. Both are easy-going, elegant fragrances designed to work across occasions rather than dominate any one of them.
Ours is a little greener at the start, with the lime more prominent and the apple slightly tarter, and our teak note gives the middle a drier, woodier feel. The original is a touch creamier through the heart. Longevity sits at about six hours on skin with gentle projection, making ours the more discreet of the two after the first hour. It is inspired by that fragrance and has a similar character, but it is our own composition rather than a reproduction of it.

When to wear it
This is the bottle to reach for when you do not know what the day holds. It carries from spring through autumn, works in daylight and after dark, and suits work, dinners and weekends equally. Three sprays in mild weather, two when it is hot. The 100ml at R200 makes sense for a fragrance this versatile, though the 30ml at R70 is an easy way to start.
