About Just Between Us
Just Between Us is an energising fruity-aquatic eau de parfum for women, inspired by Cool Water Woman by Davidoff. It smells like cold water and cut fruit, and it is impossible to feel tired while wearing it.
The opening is wide awake. Ozonic notes give that unmistakable impression of sea air, pineapple and blackcurrant add a tart tropical sweetness, honeydew melon brings juiciness, and lotus, blossom and water lily spread everything out into something clean and expansive. Citrus sharpens the edges.
The heart softens without losing the freshness. May rose is dewy rather than rich, jasmine adds a quiet depth, and muguet keeps the green, watery thread running through the middle. It is a floral heart that behaves like a rinse of cold water rather than a bouquet.
The base gives it just enough weight. Orris adds cool powder, vetiver brings a dry earthiness, sandalwood contributes cream, and peach and mulberry leave a faint fruity sweetness on the skin. The finish is soft and clean, with none of the heaviness that catches out many fruity fragrances.
Wear it in spring and summer, in the morning and through the day, to work, the beach, the gym and warm afternoons. Four sprays. If you love Cool Water Woman by Davidoff, Just Between Us shares its DNA in the ozonic, aquatic opening, the fruity lift of pineapple and melon and the clean floral heart that made the original such a refreshing alternative to sweeter perfumes.
Ours is fruitier. The pineapple and honeydew are more generous in our opening, giving a juicier start where the original is cooler and more marine from the outset, and our sandalwood base is slightly creamier. Performance is moderate on both, around five hours on skin, which is typical of the style. Just Between Us is inspired by that fragrance and has a similar character, but it is our own composition rather than a reproduction of it, and the extra fruit is where it differs.
